Three Wise Men event goes down a treat in Vicar Street!

On stage with Nathan Murphy

The IPFBA’s Three Wise Men (Talking Proper Football) event in Vicar Street, Dublin on Monday last, 28 April, was a huge success.

A packed audience enjoyed an evening of entertaining and indeed fascinating insights from John Giles, Liam Brady and Niall Quinn who willingly came together to support the welfare of former League of Ireland footballers.

IFBA Chairman Harry McCue said: “I would like to thank Barry Murphy (Aprés Match), Nathan Murphy (Off The Ball), as well as John, Liam and Niall for putting on a great show.

“We are immensely grateful to these three legends of Irish football who shared a host of funny and fascinating stories from their careers and past glories with club and country.”

The outcome from the auction and raffle held on the night was beyond financial expectations and will be put towards future contributions to ex-players in need.

Harry also expressed his appreciation to all IPFBA committee members, including Paul Lennon, for all their help in making the night such a success.
