A big thank you to everyone who took part in and supported the IPFBA bucket collection before the Galway United vs Shamrock Rovers Premier Division game at Eamonn Deacy Park on Friday, 4 April.

There was a great turnout of ex-Galway and Rovers players and we’d a few extras on the pitch at half-time. A super night was had after the game as well. A total of €2,555 was collected towards our work supporting former League of Ireland footballers.

Before the kick-off, a moving standing ovation was observed for the late John Herrick.

Our sincere appreciation to the Galway United club for accommodating same and well done to Gerry Daly and John Mannion in Galway and all the collectors involved.
